Niall Thomas, Sales Manager of Knightsbridge Business Sales, a K3 Capital Group company, praised Knight CF for their sponsorship and hospitality at the Warrington Running Festival after setting a half-marathon PB.
Having completed the Manchester Marathon earlier in 2023, Niall tackled the shorter distance at the event in which Knight were among the primary sponsors in our home town.
The Warrington Running Festival, which was held on a Sunday, was the world’s first free, road-closed chip-timed race, with the 6,000 participants able to choose whether they completed 5k, 10k or the half-marathon.
Along with Leanne Boulding, Knightsbridge Operations Director, Niall travelled across to Warrington to take up a place made available by Knight co-founder Paul Billingham and his team, with the start line just a stone’s throw from our offices.
And there was a personal best time in store for Niall before he and the other K3 runners reconvened to reflect on their achievements and refuel together afterwards.
“Knight’s hospitality was amazing and it was great to meet several other members of the K3 Capital Group family,” said Niall.
“Knight were great hosts, graciously allowing us to use their office as a base before and after the race. They had arranged for food and refreshments to be provided after the event in a nearby café too.
“I finished the half-marathon race with a new personal best time of 1hr 45mins 30 secs, which I was initially disheartened with due to a slight hiccup in the 11th mile. I’m a competitive person who will always think I should do better.
“But on reflection, I’m happy with it overall and I’m definitely looking forward to other opportunities like this within the wider K3 Capital Group.
“I’ll hopefully be back for next year’s event if they’ll have me!”
